Insect control – (from Latin INSECTUM – insect, DE – removal, destruction) is the removal of harmful flying and crawling insects (cockroaches, ants, fleas, lice, silverfish, flies, mosquitoes, bedbugs) as well as warehouse beetles, which are food pests.

The service also includes the extermination of mites. Pest control is carried out using chemical, biotechnological, physical and mechanical methods.

Other methods of fighting insects include trapping them with attractant or pheromone-containing traps and using insecticide lamps equipped with UV light to lure flying insects.

Disinfestation in the form of spraying

Spraying is a service that involves the use of sprayers, thanks to which insecticidal preparations in liquid form are applied by pressure. Water-based insecticide preparations are used for disinsection, which are used to eliminate insects. This method is used to control pests of all types of insects.

Gel insect control

This service involves applying insecticide to areas where insects are present, along their migration routes. The product is applied in a specific area and at a set dosage using a professional spray gun. This method is used to control cockroaches (German and American), ants, and the preparation must be applied in places that are inaccessible to children and animals. In the case of a gel-based service in places such as nurseries, kindergartens, restaurants, etc., special care should be taken. Due to the attractiveness of insecticides, insects that have taken the preparation die. Disinsection in this form is safe and effective! It is used in both single-family houses and multi-apartment buildings. This type of treatment is long-lasting because the gel protects the area of our house for many months or even years. The advantage of this service is that there is no need to leave the premises of the company or home during the treatment, or to air them out. Fogging

Services performed using this method are used especially in high, spacious rooms and in open areas. Fogging machines are used to carry out the service, which produce a cold or hot mist. Insects are controlled using this method to eliminate mosquitoes, flies, moths, cockroaches, bedbugs, etc. Disinfestation can be in the form of fogging:

• Thermal – The disinfestation service consists of using a fog created from a mixture of working fluid – water, biocide and carrier (glycerine-based) through the use of a thermal smoke generator. The working fluid evaporates due to the high temperature and then condenses when it comes into contact with the cooler atmosphere of the room. Thermal fogging produces fog with a droplet diameter as small as 0.5 microns and it lingers in the air much longer than cold fog, which allows for a longer contact of the chemical with the organism being controlled. Thermal fogging is used wherever insects or microorganisms need to be controlled.
• ‘cold’ (ULV – ultra low volume). Cold fogging services consist of the ability to produce microscopic droplets and distribute them using a cold mist generator. The working fluid (insecticide) is sprayed into the air in the form of an aerosol. The advantage of using a ULV generator is the high quality of the treatment with minimal amounts of biocides. The pest control agent gets into even the most difficult places and crevices, which makes the service highly effective.

Disinfestation by gassing (fumigation)

Fumigation services use fumigants, chemical preparations in the form of smoke, steam or gas. Fumigation services are used to combat warehouse pests, such as granary pests (trocisco, mklik mączny, rozkruszek), but also fleas, moths, bedbugs and even mice. The chemicals used for fumigation usually come in the form of pastilles, tablets or smoke candles. After using these chemicals, it is necessary to leave the company premises, i.e. storage rooms, silos, etc., for at least 7 days. Only after the facility has been aired and a safe gas concentration of 0.1 ppm has been reached, are the rooms safe for the company’s employees. Pest control in the form of fumigation is a very dangerous procedure for the health and life of people and animals, which is why this task should be carried out by a professional pest control company.
